Intriguing Objects

A closer look

This collection brings together plates, vessels and lamps that invite a closer look. Some make an immediate impression through bold shapes and color. Others reveal their character gradually, through painted words, handmade marks and small surprises on their surfaces.

Looking across these works can loosen our sense of what a familiar object is allowed to be. A handle becomes a gesture. A vessel becomes a place to tell a story. A lamp carries the presence of a small sculpture.

Inspiration can begin with any of these encounters: a detail that sparks a connection, a way of working we want to understand, or simply a feeling worth following. The pleasure is in looking closely and leaving with a new possibility.
