The correlation

Color becomes structure when it clarifies action, belonging, information, state and form.

Color is often treated as decoration or personal taste. These references show it doing structural work.

On Mario Cesar Junior’s Braun Noise Gate concept, orange isolates the control that initiates action. Across the Monocle guide collection, each color distinguishes a volume without dissolving the family. In Toufiq Hossen’s interface study, color divides information into recognizable groups before the data is read. In the Dawn Kitchen, purple appears only when the cabinet opens, turning color into evidence of a changed state. At Hermès’ Milan installation, transmitted color reshapes the perception of monumental structures and produces the atmosphere surrounding them.

The lesson is not to use more color. It is to assign color a clear responsibility. When hue directs attention, separates a system, reveals state or changes how form is perceived, it becomes part of the design’s logic rather than a finish applied afterward.
